Hey heads!

I gave up my lunch hour (or 2) on this little project. Theres not much money in this job, maybe none, but its for a good cause, so I put a little time into this t-shirt layout.

If nothing else, it will put some ideas on the table for my friend to show at her meeting. I know I could do better, but I also know many others could as well. So, since I need to get back to some jobs I got here I thought I'd post this for feedback, critiques, flamefests, or even some other design ideas for our friend.

I've seen how often, others like myself jump at a chance to avoid some of our real work, & turn our attention & talents to something different, even if only for a little break.

Anyone want to play?

(by the way, I said there wasn't much money on the table, I think if any others that want to help get this design challenge resolved, maybe we can raise those few bucks in question for Letterville!)

 -

*edit* fixing a typo, & wanted to add that the tan border (& all tan) is the shirt color, not a printed "frame"... also, the white tire treads actually have a nice tread pattern, just not at this resolution.

YEEEEHAAAA BOYS! ANOTHER FLAMEFEST!
COUNT ME IN!

[Wink]

Nice. That drag tree looks damn authentic!

I like the track in perspective idea & the smoke too.

More prominent copy maybe?

Okay so I don't know jack about drag racing but I did design a tee shirt once before.

What can I say other than this beats watching the boob tube. I can't tell you how many times I've designed something for nothing other than the fun and pleasure it gives me.

If this is useful it can only be had for no cost. Enjoyed playing with it. Maybe it could make a nice tee shirt for me in an extra large?

After a good nights sleep and a fresh look this morning this is my final tweak.

 -

I kept track of my time and this is about an hour to design.

A day late and a dollar short, I think thats the expression that fits, Doug [Smile]

I forgot the comma between fits and Doug. I didn't want to get flamed for that.

Doug, yur a class act.

 -

I set myself a half hour time limit.
If I put more time into it,
I would put a little more room between the 00's for the tree.
The tree got a couple spikes in the contour that need to be fixed.
Need to open up the kerning on the "Track" line.

As they say in aussie-land "good on you" Doug.

And all those who submitted designs too.

I'd like to see all the designs Cynthia recieved!
I also hope she'll share the chosen one with us.

I'll volunteer to post any who have trouble posting pix.

I love a feel-good ending.

WOW! Such a diverse collection of ideas and talent across the board.

Glad I dont have to make the choice. It would be very difficult.

Years ago I would buy my skydiving tickets in a block of 100. You saved money by buying in bulk. Anyway, you were told to write your name on the back of your tickets in case they were stolen or lost.

After the first dozen or so of signing my name on the back I became bored. So I started drawing just my name BOB on the backs. I hand drew over 70 tickets each one an original design. You have any idea how hard it is to draw the name BOB differently 70 times?

Well I got really creative and good towards the end. I would turn them in at the ticket counter for each jump and the gal at manifest decided to collect them all. She kept them for ten years and one day called to say she wanted to send me something. She mailed everyone back to me and I have them to this day. I still pull them out every now and then and shake my head in disbelief that I hand drew so many stupid jump tickets.

It was fun then and I still challenge myself to this day to never do the same thing twice.

Its all the more fun when you get a bunch of other psychotics involved such as the last panel exchange. So much talent in our world!
