Yea, watched it with great intersest last night. Both my son and I thought the silver leaf on silver looked better before they shot the red on it. The artists/painters were getting more coverage on this show and deservedly so. The guy that did the Rat Fink on the metalflake bike was outstanding. I've also been getting a kick out of the results of the voting, I guess my tastes aren't that far fetched after all
I'm still waiting to see our guy C..J.

Hey Glenn, did you see when they went to Church Point for a crawfish boil? (Billy Lane & that Perwiski dude) Nothing like that national exposure.

Glenn, it was on the second biker build off, with Billy Lane from Florida, and that Periwiz(sp?) guy from up north. They where supposed to meet up in Pensacola, but Billy was late. They showed footage of them on the Achafalaya Basin bridge, then they went up I49 and stopped in at a fellow named Mike Guidry's shop (don't know what he does, they just said he was a biker enthusiest) They had a Cajun band and boiled crawfish goin on, that's when Billy Lane finally caught up to them.
The American Chopper show plays on Monday nites, and then re-airs on saturdays, maybe this will re-air saturday as well. It was all 3 shows back to back.

Tony, Mike Guidry is a painter/builder/restorer of street rods and classic chevy stuff and used to be he was a big name/did a lot for the Super Chevy shows they hold regionally, maybe he still does i duno but he does like to get involved in any kind of motorsports promotion.
Cmon.....since both Layne and Indian Larry were both in other shows previously on that network, did anybody really think they weren't gonna win regardless of the fact that all 4 bikes were pretty damn nice?

Before Billy Lane and before Jesse James, The big dogs were Arlen Ness in the west and Dave Periwiz in the east. Daytona has always been the playground for Dave's work. The build off is like any other contest, politically or not. It not those who vote that decides the winner but those who count the votes

Gavin, Mike Guidry doesn't paint/build or restore anything, he hires the best he can find to do it for him. I've heard of him flying people in from who knows where to do flames on his Peterbilt. Mike's a nice guy, he owns a 18 wheeler repair shop and salvage yard, he's a wheeler dealer he bought several cars and a custom hauler from Boyd Coddington when he was in a bind several years ago. He probably has 20-25 cars, mostly street rods and muscle cars but some customs too.....Lord knows how many Harleys. If I remember correctly a few years back some famous rod builder built him a custom truck with the bed set up especially to haul the matching custom Harley. And he has a knockout wife to boot

Tony, Unfortunately, that night I was working late. The film crews shot a lot of footage on Main St., but that never made it on air. My son & I went to a supper at his place right before Sturgis, Don Hotop was there and several "Hamsters". Quite a few bikes from the southeastern part of the country were being loaded for the trip. Awesome sight, wish I'd brought my camera.
