Yup! She had a great time and can't wait to go back and take me with her. [Smile]

I'm sitting here listening to a CD she brought back. It's "Live at O'Reilly's". She went there twice to listen to the live music.

She was blown away by Signal Hill. Haven't got the pictures developed yet, but she took about 5 rolls in 3 days! [Eek!]

She took the boat tour on the Scademia, but didn't see any whales or puffins. [Frown]

She was surprised by the lack of seafood restaurants. That was one thing she was looking forward to. The only local cuisine she had was toutons and fish cakes. She didn't try the cod tongues. [Smile]

If anyone ever gets to St. John's, look for Cab #13. Charlie's his name and super friendly. He went out of his way to make Colleen and her two friends feel welcome and even offered to drive them to a local attraction just outside of the city on his day off!

It sounds like you have a pretty amazing piece of the world out there and I'm sure looking forward to getting out and seeing it myself. We'd like to take a week or so and get to see the rest of the island.

She'd recommend Newfoundland to anyone. The scenery is beautiful, the music is great and the people are the friendliest you'll find. [Big Grin]

I sure glad she had a great time, I was out of town the entire weekend, so there was no chance on me meeting with her, but she had great weather, so that was a bonus, cool but clear. Yes there are more seafood places around but they are hard to find.

The Taxi drivers will talk your ears off if you want them to, and they are a great source of information, how did she like our accent, was it difficult for her to understand? lol. Maybe I'll put off a meet here next year, in June when the whales and Icebergs are plentiful.
