I have painted two. Both were base clear nice jobs and I charged 150 bucks. I know it seams a little steap for a baseball lid but thats less than half of my basic racing helmets.

Hey Stan, I used to airbrush full time, and we made allot of money on helmets. Nowadays a friend of mine and I attend large little league meets and rack up on them. Gotta go with the twelve and under crowd. For this type of stuff it is all createx and aquaflow, with a walmart clear. quick and easy stuff, just real tight. you have to scuff the helmet with a scotchbrite pad, then alcohol clean. If I'm doing basecoat/clearcoat the price would be seriously high. We usually charge no more than 50 dollars for the quickies. A good one day gig usually brings in around 1500 to 1800. good luck!
