Well, I waited to the last minute & now this font (Spa Guy Maui) that looked familiar does not seem to be in my collection.

Also this "logo" looks very much like a typical clip art style un-modified, but the rastor image I was given was pretty bad. I'll probably print, trace, & scan my tracing, but does anybody have the font used here? It would be great if someone could come up with the 8 letters I need to save me redrawing them.

I'll get busy on the spa guy & cross my fingers on the font...

Thanks

oops,
forgot to add the image...
 -

also just remembered why that "M" looks funny. I made it real quick out of an upside down "u" because this guy just moved to maui, & provided my the low res. "Spa Guy" lettering from his old business card. (after running it through the washing mach etc. etc.)

I figured I'd get something on paper quick & easy to get an approved layout, then fine tune it later. It's later now & the painted MDO blanks are ready for some vinyl so I can run 'em up a ladder & slap 'em on a warehouse up the street tomorrow afternoon.

Last call for anyone recognizing this font now that I got it posted?

Sell the customer a "NEW" updated version of
Camera Ready Art Work using what you have that is
(close) to the old one!
While you are at it... extend the heavy paneled phone number to become the "base" for rest of his copy to rest on!(as pointed out in Mastering Layout)
ALSO eliminate the comma in BBQ,as this IS NOT a
possesive word.

Hope this helps

I don't have my list of fonts in front of me, but Spa Guy looks like "Christie" font

Thanks for the replies & layout advice etc. I had thought BBQ was enough, but client wanted "apostrophe s" added so I didn't question it. Never heard it called a comma, especially by the grammer police. [Smile] That's OK, I know I usually need grammer police anyway.

Thanks for getting me to pick up my copy of "Mastering Layout" again. Interestingly, there is the same shape panel on the cover, & it is the bottom line, but it is not as wide as the main copy. [Dunno] I think your right though Pat, mine could be a little wider.

Sunny, I believe you are right. I found this through a google search:
 -
Last night I traced a large printout then scanned, filled, blurred, & vectorized it with acceptable results.

I just noticed my original layout is so fuzzy you can't see that the "a" & the "p" have a gap where the curve doesn't join the stem... just like the woodcut done in the "Christie" font.

!! Don't know the font, but 'Spa Guy Mau' is certainly not the Tango and Christie fonts have, however Clara Barton is.

Doug, it's Letraset Neptun (1988 catalogue), not to be confused with Font Shop Neptun. Wish I had it, I'd send you the letters.

[edit}
 -

Looks like they used an enlarged lowercase 'm' as a cap.
