I will let this one speak for itself. I know the "signman" who did this. TO be fair, he normally does okay, but this....I don't know what he was thinkin'...

Barry,

When did you stop by in Wilson. I'd swear that job was done by one of my competitors here in town.

Is this guy's name Pete? There used to be a lot of that exact work over here in the Memphis area abut fifteen or twenty years ago. Misfigure a wall layout and ad the 's on top of the word. Creative layout at it's worst.

Looks like a "Lenny" to me. LOL.
I'm sure there's a story to that.
Actually, in a strange way it is almost quaint.
I'm half thinking the N was dropped on purpose to start conversation. One thing's for certain - THAT is a hand painted sign!

At least he thought to but "Bill's Corner Cafe" in the corner...ha! Reminds me of the old guys who used to put the little twinkle star thingies everywhere to fill up space. Bad thing is...I did some of those when I was first starting out...till someone smacked my hands with a yard stick! [Eek!]

I'm with Joe on this one...it's quaint.

I'll bet there's a great story behind that one.
Probably something about not enough time or money to fuss the job.

My only question is...
With boats and breakfast, is there also lunchoen and launches? [Dunno]

I like it.
This one here in Elgin IL. was (hopefully) intentional... otherwise the installers had to make the amazing mistake of putting the plex on the wrong side of the letters, and then installing them anyways. Interesting effect though.

It's subliminally advertising a buffet. You get to pick and choose "What to leave in, what to leave out", while stressing over "deadlines and commitments".
