Interesting gadget I've acquired. Maybe more useful to someone running a design package that requires a piece of hardware like this but... If I can get a pen/stylus to work on it then I can see it being useful. Anyone here or at Summa have any suggestions?
Thanks, David

Dave you can still get drivers for the tablet you speak of,...I have two summasketchII tablets here. I found several on ebay awhile back mostly being sold off piece by piece. That particular tablet will work with calcomp tablet drivers or wintab drivers. If you email me I may have some parts that interchange for you as I no longer use mine here,...

Hey Dave, if you need pens, pucks or stylus try checking with some universities and see if they have some old stuff layin around in their CAD department.
Timi's right on with the CalComp drivers, Summa and CalComp were very similar back in the day with CalComp taking over the tablet segment for Summa. CalComp still uses the SummaSketch name to this day.
Those summasketch units were pretty cool.. my first experiences with AutoCAD were with using a 24"x24" SummaSketchII with all the major functions layed out on the tablet.. and only a 4"x4" screen area represented on the tablet itsself which gives you a clue how many commands were programmed into it. When I got into the workforce it was a hard blow reducing myself to using a mouse for CAD - luckily I had learned the keyboard equivalents for those commands (they were written on the tablet, under the icons) and could wrap 'em out faster than anyone else could click.
**Edit**: By the way, here's a link to some drivers that might work for ya.. there's a note on the bottom of the page for the MM1201 tablet.

Thanks gents. Got my hardware people on the look-out for a stylus for me, they tell me that some of the older bits should plug into the same jack and with some tweaking give me a 24"x24" tablet. Another learning curve in the making. In the meantime I'm downloading drivers for the tablet while I build myself a new machine outa bits laying around.
Your info is appreciated as always. regards, David
