Hi Heads, Laurie Goretzki asked some of the presenters to post here, telling a little about their Tomahawk Rendezvous presentation. Soooooo here you are:
We plan for up to 10 hands-on participants and another 10 or so on-lookers.
BASIC surface gilding ala Barbara Schilling from Sign Station will include surface prep, size application and drying, leaf application, burnishing, topcoat (or not), and finishing techniques. We will do a flat surface and a dimensional plastic letter. Materials will be provided, but it would be nice if you bring your own brush, preferably a brown quill. I will give participants a handout so they don't have to take notes to remember everything.
This will be a great intro for those who want to add a little "gleam" to their product repetoire. If you have wanted to see this process in person - not just in the book - now is the time! See you next week in Wisconsin!

Hi Jane, Laurie will have sign up sheets for my seminar as well as several others. First come-first serve, so get there early! See you Wednesday?!

Hey Folks, This is a Must Do! for any shop or craftsman.
This will help you & and your customers.
Not only is a Gilded sign 35% Brighter, gold is also one of the alluring surfaces.
This will also provide diversity in your shop, and assist in multiple tiered bids, to the level we like to call Letterhead Quality.
We like to let each customer know that there are levels of quality beyond the basic listings in the price guides. Some folks call these Options or Upgrades, but with all of the namebrands being used today, Letterhead Quality seams to work well.
Everyone Have a Blast! I.O.A.F.S.
