I have a new neighbor in my building that asked me about some "standard" tennis court rules he can have put on some signs for new courts his construction company has put in for someone. I told him I didn't know if there was a "standard", but I could put whatever rules he wanted. He said they are usually all about the same, but he didn't know exactly what all should be included. I don't play tennis, & don't really know either.
I know I could go find a court & copy their sign, or I could tell him to do that, or advise him he is being charged for my research, but since he is my new neighbor I thought I'd see if anyone here has done one recently enough that it may be easy to paste the copy in a reply, or show me a photo of one.
WOW, COOL... SPELLCHECK! When did we get that?

Doug...you've touched on one of my pet peeves! Customers that don't know what words they want put on a sign. Of course, new neighbor and I understand its not quite the same...but still bugs me when they do that.
By the way, notice the light bulbs at the top? Makes us look smarter! LOL They just did street improvements in Letterville last night. Good job, Barb and Steve!

Thanks for the file you emailed Steve, that will satisfy my neighbor as a decent starting place!
Hey Don, I know what you mean. I try to reserve my arrogance for you guys, but I have been known to respond to customers that "you know where to find me when you figure out what you want" or the slightly less abrasive "I can't quote it if you don't know what it is, but you can hire me to figure it out if you can't"
On those light bulbs... maybe they only show up for the bright people?

Hey Doug- just finished 10 tennis court signs for a customer. The Pro brought wording to me- I assume it's pretty standard- at least if I can remember my court days! I'll email them to you.

That should be pretty easy. These are the official USPTA regulations :
No spitting, swearing or throwing rackets. No scratching of private areas during a match. No cursing at the linesmen either. No, you are not John MacEnroe. No jumping over nets. If you try it and fall we are not liable.
