Color and Mounting Questions

Hi all,

This is a 2’ x 8’ x ¾” MDO wall mounted sign. The design has been approved and my client will be doing the install.

 -

I had originally planned on counter sunk holes (6) with galvanized decking screws. I would supply touch up paint for the screw heads. On second thought I am considering flat 1” wide steel stock bands screwed to the back with tabs extending from the top and bottom of the sign with mounting holes. No touch up but the visible bands. Any thoughts???

The panel is cut and painted with 1shot. Colors shown less the border. The graphics will be vinyl. The building is about 25’ fron a main road. I was trying to have Carver Auto Sales stand out for traffic visibility…. The wall is T-111 stained grey.

Also I am looking to be talked out of grey for the number and established line of graphic. Any suggestions???

Critiques and comments [Wink] as well as answers to my questions are welcome.
Thanks,
Joe

Overall it looks good. My only suggestion would be to darken the grey a little. This would hide it on the dark side a little more & give more contrast on the light side. Also I'd move the "E" on established all in the light side. Just think that would look better.

Hiya Joe,
The sign looks good. Sure, it could use a little tweaking but I don't think the client wouldn't notice.
You can make your own mounting brackets by ripping down some MDO strips at a 45* angle, but, check out this web site...

I just received a sample last week & it's a solid, well thought out design.

Havin' fun,

Bill and Brian,

Thanks for the input.

Bill, the “E” will move. The original grey will stay only because the sign will be delivered this weekend.

Brian, its funny that I see ads for that type of installation all the time in the trade mags but it never occurred to me to try it on “my” own application….. DOH! Thanks!

Joe
