Something a little different than normal silouetting. This 5x8 is a combo of airbrushing, high contrast, and detailing. I'm sure its not a first, but a little different than simpler forms of its type adding quite a bit more color and depth. Just wanted to share. I had quite a lot of fun with it. Bronzeo ps. it was very hard taking a detail photo inside without studio lighting that I didn't have the time to set up. As a result a lot of the detail is not showing up here.

First of all, Ryan; yes it is original art or at least from my original art, as I have been a wildlife artist for 20 plus years. If any of you have purchased a gun cabinet in the last 10 years from Walmart,K-Mart, J.C.P, or Sears, it more than likely has my name on the glass. I did over 750,000 of them in that timeframe, and finally give it up last year to do signart, which to me is a lot more fun...... The process was fairly simple really. I used alumalite 5 x 8 on a welded square tube frame. I shot the dark violet deer as just a blotch to be remasked to shape, over the deer's silouette form. Next I shot the ivory color all over the rest of the panel leaving just the 2 tones. I then left the ivory in the large devilbiss gun and had a midtone violet set up in an airbrush with the largest tip. I shot the violet, adjusting it to several different shades and tones as I went, to get the sunset appearance. Every once in a while, I blended back in the ivory, for a smooth transition, or lightening back up. When done, I removed the deer masking. The next day I use about 5 different shades of Violets, blue violets, and red violets in different plastic cups to hand paint the grass and trees in the foreground.(I use script brushes). 2 days later I shot Ronan Clear to even the paints and to preserve, to get the foggy appearance I mixed a little ivory color into the last coat of clear at the suggestion of one of the letterheads. Thanks for any of you that helped me make descisions on this project, as I had several questions. I had pre-chosen a color of 3M vinyl that I had mixed my paint group to compliment. Only the striping and Copy are of Vinyl. The sign sold for 1400.00 here in conservoland ready to bolt to the customers rock or brick posts.

Thought I might post an update on this project. This AM, the Realtor who gave me the name of the developer that contracted this sign, has asked me to supply 10 other small to medium sized development entrance signs this year, also signs for his firm with brief layouts of lot diagrams, plus develope color brochure folders for each of the 10 that he can hand out with info pertanent to that subdivision. He has agreed to have his builders to brick or rock-up the piers for the signs while their on a house job...... Needless to say that I am quite happy. Their will probably only be 2 carved and gilded out of the 10, but I can use some of these less expensive twists, to please my client. This Realtor is one that specializes in working with land owners and contractors selling new homes and lots in subdivisions. This might be a hint to all of you on which Realtors to go after. His explanation was he wanted me to make him look good, and he couldn't get that look in a quickie joint or out of a catalog. He feels that the upgrade could potentially double his house sales in these subdivisions. Bronzeo
