Here we go. Donald and I have decided on the dates for the Dixie Letterhead meet. It will be March 26,27,28. We would like to charge $50 for pre-registered letterheads, and $65 day of event registers. We are not trying to make any money, just cover out of pocket expenses. The fee will cover food, t-shirt, and materials. The meet will be held at Donald's 60x100 new shop. We will have a custom painted refrigerator that we will be selling raffle tickets on also. There will be opportunities to sandblast, pinstripe, handletter and lots more. The reason for calling it the Civil War is not confrontational, but a joke for all those who know me. I have many letterhead friends from the North, when I visit their get-togethers the first thing that everyone comments on is my southern accent. I have many Northern and Southern friends that will attend. It is just a joke. Anyone who knows me should understand. Eveyone is welcome!! This will be a friendly hands-on meet with the majority of insults directed at me. If anyone else would like to be involved or needs any info please contact Donald Thompson at 864-682-7810 or drop me a line.

I am a card-carrying member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, plus a Letterhead. That should qualify me. Look forward to being there. Will keep an eye out for further information.

hmmmmmmmmm.........
lemme think..... Fun, food, painting, more fun, more painting, never been to SC, still more fun, travel, meetiing new friends, and of course the opportunity to have excessive amounts of fun.
Sounds like fun. I'm a Yankee, but "I ain't no flatlanda'", so, do I bring lobster or fresh Vermont maple syrup? Maybe a cow?

I'm going to try to swing this one. Seems the dixie meets are always the same weekend as Bristol and we have a big Bristol trip with my hubby's company. There is talk that this was the last year for it & hubby is also talking about changing jobs, so I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Only one thing will keep me from coming to this one. My wife is due to have our second child March 22nd. Maybe things will workout. So many people I want to meet and give big ol hillbilly hugs to.

I have plans to provide some "real" Southern bar-b-que sometime over the weekend. I use an old family recipe, but don't ask how it is made, some things are better left unsaid.
George,I can't wait to hear your comments to Ryan. Start thinking of them now and write them down. Practice them, so you'll be sharp by the time you get here.
CJ, I would love for you to come, so I can see if you are the man you think you or if you are what everyone else thinks you are.
David, Maurice's is good, but has nothing on the family recipe.
Mike, I hope to se you in Feb. I just have to try to find the right time to break it to my wife. I think she worries when I am with Ryan.
Ray, What better way to spend a birthday than in the middle of Nowhere,SC.
Amy, If we could get one of our Northern friends to bring some fresh lobsters I would be willing to boil them up.
John, Are you serious? If so greatly appreciated, but not a pre-requisite for coming.
Steve, I have already contacted some "newbeeies" about coming.
Sonny, How about some music? Hopefully Paul will be able to come back.
Pierre, You make the trip here and I'll promise you an alligator.
Glenn, Not quite in the Smokies, just a little South of there unfortunately.
Jeff & Timi, This will be much more fun than any drag race. Ryan will have his drag truck here, and may be doing burnouts in front of the shop. Then we all can take pictures of the road. Dennis knows what I am talking about.
OP, What do I need to pick up to add to the menu for you? How about some poke salad and turnips?
Don,Are you bringing Dora with you? Could you bring me a load of wood from that old wooden outhouse that fell?
