Here are some of my gold leaf textures I have created for corel 10 they are not 100% accurate but close:

The texture maps need to be copied to your corel folder located on my computer at:

C:\Program Files\Corel\Graphics10\Texture\Gallery

Then you get to them in corel by using the pattern fill/Bitmap pattern fill tool then load the correct texture map:

Sample Image:

 -

Texture Maps: Right Click and Save As

GOLD: Works best if you size the pattern to fit the object you are filling under the edit section of the pattern fill tool

 -

Florentine: Just adjust the size to get the texture you are looking for under the edit section of the pattern fill

 -

Florentine 2: Same as above just a little darker

 -

Engine Turn: Just adjust the size to get the texture you are looking for under the edit section of the pattern fill

 -

Engine Turn 2: a darker version

The images are not loading on my mac cause they are in .bmp format for my pc...so mac people with corel may need to convert the files

I also use the files on the pc at 100x100 pixels at 300dpi...so if you have a program like photoshop you may wish to resize them samller at a higher dpi....cause online they are 300x300 at 72 dpi...

Have Fun

lol [Smile]

I'm usually not a big fan of junk food, but I grabbed some fries from a drive thru when rushing to an install instead of a lunch break the other day. I was looking at the box & saw these ragged looking bold letters that seemed to be screaming...
ARE YOU MAC ENOUGH?
I had to laugh out loud, thinking of a few of my neighbors here in Letterville

Dumb question coming...

I have Corel 9- can I use them? If so, what folder do I put them in?

Thanks!

would think you can because they are just seamless bitmaps...should be able to use them in any graphics program.....but i'll wait to see someone else chime in that has corel 9....

works the same way in ver9
in pattern fill select bitmap then 'load'
brings up a window which allows you to grab the bmp from anywhere on your machine you saved the file
don't forget you can also use .cpt, .jpg, etc files for fills
so just make sum pretties in photopaint and then use them as specialty fills in draw

i made these as quickies yesterday to play with
(make the tiles the size you need for your design)

Thanks Andrew...

I saved the BMP images to my temp directory, imported them into Corel and then exported them as JPG's at 72 DPI. That reduced the file sizes from 264K down to 18-28K.

I then loaded them into the bitmap patterns library.

I'll have to play around with physical size some, but these will be great.
