Hi everyone. I converted some draw 8 files into EPS for some business cards & the blues printed purpleish. How can I prevent that from happening?

Thanks, Felix.

There's no magic wand here Felix. There's too many things that can go wrong when it comes to color matching.
First - is your monitor color calibrated? Without a color corrected monitor, you may not be seeing what's in the file.
Second, unless you updated your color pallets for Corel, you may be using out of date information. Pantone updated their electronic colors a few years ago.
Third, make sure your ICC profiles are up to date and you're using the correct profile for the job. ICC profiles give your printer a pre-established starting point to work from when matching colors in electronic files.
Fourth, I don't know if this is an option in Corel 8, but if you can export or convert to a PDF, It retains more file information to help you output correctly. However, this won't help you if any of the above is not accurate.
If you're sending the cards out to be printed, you best bet is to inform your printer to not use the colors in your file. Just specify the pms colors they need to match.

Havin' fun,

Checkers
