Hi Heads,

Does anyone know how to add Java into XP and make it work, I had a customer add Java into xp and it screwed up his computer.

I like using the green button chat but it wont load on this computer now because it is a clean install of XP Home.

It wont load becasue it say it needs Java.

Java or Javascript? To which are you referring? They are not the same. Java is a programming language similar to C++ in complexity. Javascript might be something someone around here might be more familiar with as its mostly in web stuff. (I think) Sorry, I'm not familiar with either one to give any advice. Good luck though.

Bob it sounds like you don't have Javascript enabled in your browser which will prevent any website based Javascripts such as you describe from running.

Java, as already pointed out, is a programming language developed by Sun Microsystems. They have various downloads available at their site. I downloaded their primary set recently .... it didn't screw anything up on my system but it didn't have any immediate appeal either.
