We get more than the ocassional request for bag signs. Usually from contractors that want 10-50 of them to leave on their clients lawn. We have always told them you need to order at least 100 to make it viable.
After a discussion with the screen printer we use for coroplast contractor signs and screened decals I think she is interested in doing these in small quantities. Only problem she has no idea where to get the plastic bags and the wire frames.
Anyone have a source for these? Ontario would be preferable but we will follow up with anyone in North America.
Thanks.

Chuck, Bag signs aren't screenrpinted as we know it. They are roll or flexo printed which doesn't really lend itself to low quantity runs. I don't even think that blank ones are available and if they are, your vaccuum table wouldn't hold them down anyhow.
Stick to the coro or if you need a lower price point, go the the polycoat cardstock which we use for most of our political signage. It's a cheaper alternative to coro, especially because it's a single sided screenprint for a foldover double faced sign.

Thanks Randy for mentioning Hynek. We are aware of them and have their bag sign pricing. I was hoping I could find these for my regular screen printer to give it a try. She thinks she can screen print them in fairly small quantities and still make a dollar. These things are showing up all over Hamilton and the GTA. I get about 1 request a week for them from all the contractors we deal with. Have always turned them down but would like to provide them in some cases.
I have a funny feeling that Bill may be right with his reply. Nobody is making blank bags to sell to every screen printer in the country. We may have to come up with a way to make the bags and wire frames.
