I got a phone call from Fred Floyd today. Nice guy to talk with! In passing, he mentioned this forum, so I thought I'd join up and see what's happening!
We purchased this working shop over 3 years ago, not knowing a thing about the business. I started out 12 years ago, as a webhost and webdesigner. It has helped me out with signmaking, but until I owned my own shop, I never knew what a vector file was!
We have a Gerber Edge, Envision, and an Ioline plotter. Hope to get to know all of you real soon!

Well, where do I begin?? I started out in website hosting and design about 12 years ago. about 5 years ago one of my clients was a sign shop. I was at his shop every day trying to get a "feel" so that I could present his website in the best way. I was always coming into his shop thinking of ideas and ways to promote his website. One day he said I seemed to have more interest in the sign shop, than he had, so why don't I just buy him out? Little did we know back then, that this was just a punk kid that was on the verge of bankruptcy and this business was also interferring with his "dating"!
That was over 3 and a half years ago, and we've been digging out ever since!
Before the business, I only knew bitmap imaging,had to learn vectorizing all by myself.
I use Corel draw and Adobe illustrator. We use GA 6.02 and flexisign.
We have a 4 station 6 color screenpress, a 1 station 4 color screen press, and Ioline super 88, and Ionline Studio 7, both 30 inch plotters. We have a Gerber Edge and an Envision 375 15" plotter. We do signs, vehicles, banners, etc, plus screenprint apparel. We work all day at the shop, then at home I spend all night still doing my webhosting and design business.
