Customer has a cool digi print on a banner that got "SLASHED" by some hoodlums.
Would a nice 15" long bead of silicone hold it back in place?
It is not for the same use (outside) that it was before but, instead, is being framed as a bit of nastalgia for the office and is expected to have this blemish still visible. Doesn't want it visible but expects it to not go away.

Theres an adhesive which comes in a can containing a brush ...Think its called HD66 that will glue it together, but you will need to put a strip of the banner material on the back as a bandade...glue the bandade and position it on the back where it does not show...Ive used it on canopies, ect... it works great...almost seamless...just alien the front where the cut is when applying...Midwest carries this product. Its worked for me.

Well there ya' have it. There are some of us here that just sit back and read and take it all in and never ask the board anything, fully knowing that their question will pop up eventually. Then there's those of us that ask some really lame ass questions.
What's the old saying......"it's better to remain silent and be thought of as a fool then, to open your mouth and remove all doubt".
The sign trade always has our heads in "what to use" for any incident from silicone, thinner, glues, retarters, vinyl, fabric blah, blah, blah. Sometimes it never crossed yer'mind that there's an easier way.......DUCT TAPE......ingenious.

Same problem a few years ago and Rosemary found a solution. As above, a strip of banner material and then "Shoe Goo" on both sides. That's the schtuff you use to repair tennis shoes. Super tough, elastic adhesive. It worked.

My reply to the customer would be.... You'll need a new banner. Call your insurance company to see if they will cover it? (But I know they won't) Most customers do not place coverage on items.
