Hello all, I’m working with casmate now and looking to upgrade to flixisign plus. Just my luck I missed the scanvec promotion they had on this product [ended Dec. 30th.] for $800. Maybe someone knows if these promos come out often ,or I might have to bite the bullet and shell out $1800 on my suppliers January special, which is still $600 less the list price. I understand you can get good deals at the trade shows but I don’t plan on going to any show in the near future Thanks.

Jimmy, Check with who ever sold you Casmate. I upgraded my Casmate Pro To Flexi Pro for $100 a few months ago. I don't know if they are still running the distributor upgrade special or not but it is worth a try.

Greg, I did that upgrade also. I do think that it was to switch from Inspire though. Seems the Flexi works off the Inspire dongle. It's a difficult transition for me though. There's so much more that I seem to be able to do in a simpler way with Casmate. Flexi doesn't have tool bars that you can set up to cover your preferances, nor does it have the options to select hot keys of my own choosing. There are so many things that require far more steps than Casmate. I'm plugging away at it, someday I'll be there and Casmate will be spoken of like Nash Ramblers.

Rick, You are right, it was the Inspire to Flexi upgrade. I never really have used Inspire since I got it when it came out, so I just kind of blocked it out of my mind! I agree with Casmate being easier to use but like you I am plugging away at Flexi. I'm using Flexi about 50% of the time. If it's a "rush" job I have no choice but to use Casmate!

With respect to getting Inspire files into FlexiSIGN, there is no direct import capability at present (Flexi 6.5v3).
You have two options available. One is to export the file from Inspire as a CASmate SCV file (file-->export-->CASmate), and the other is to export as an EPS file.
These files can then be imported into Flexi (file-->import).
If you have a number of files that need to be converted, there is a utility program available for download to allow for 'batch' processing of these files. That program, along with instructions for it's use is available at www.castekonline.com/download
The next version of Flexi is rumored to have the SCI import filter available for direct import. Hope this helps!

Ok, I've done that now.... I have my files converted so that I can bring them into Flexi. The next problem is that all the text has been converted to curves. Is this normall?
Anyone????
