Granted not everyone can really pinstripe, but this book has got to be the best up to date scenic journey into the world of vehicle pinstripng. A great addition to anyones library, or anyone who really pinstripes. For those who can hold a brush and lay down a line, there are many how-to's from these professionals, whether or not any of your heros are among them.
What a great book, done well!

I really enjoyed the book too. And some hard hitters in there as well, like Spike, the Wiz, AJ, Quinn, Bond and more. Even if you don't stripe and need better control of the brush this is a cool book to have.

I couldn't agree with you more Joey. I ordered a copy from AutoArt Magazine as soon as I heard about it. It's become my favorite bathroom reading!
If you are a Master yourself, or just a wantabe PinHead like myself, you will love this book. The actual title is Pinstriping Masters...Techniques, Tricks and Special Effects For Laying Down The Line. Each of the 28 chapters is devoted to a "Master." There is a brief biography of the artist, followed by a step by step detailing a project that illustrates their particular style.
Here's just one example. I'm the proud owner of a Mike Lavallee "tiger panel." I've seen him actually crank these out at live meets, but due to various distractions and memory lapse, I never seem to retain all that I see.
Mike actually renders one of these tiger panels in this book. You can follow along step by step as he explains what brush he is using, as well as his secrets for adding realism to his artwork. It's great stuff!
Howie Nisgor is in there demonstrating his RoseArt Panels. You'll find Alan Johnson, Herb Martinez, Wizard, Jack "The Italian" Giachino, Bobbo Dunn, and many, many more within the pages of this book. Bob Bond does a nice job of gilding an antique fire engine. This book is going to inspire, as well as give you a wonderful foundation to explore your pinstriping curiousity.
To get your own copy of this book, you need not look any furthur than our own Letterville Merchants. Contact Bob or Jennifer Bond at Bob Bond's Artistry/AutoArt Magazine. They'll rush you out a copy at the discounted price of $26.50 plus (S/H, USA & Canada $8.05 & International $14) US funds.
Pinstriping Masters contains 166 pgs of full color step-by-steps along with photo galleries of 28 top pinstripers. Price effective until 8/31/03. Phone toll free from anywhere 1-800-262-2663 or send check or money order to: Bob Bond's Artistry 25612 NE Colbern Rd. Lee's Summit, MO 64086
One last thought! Bob and Jenn have donated a copy of this book for the July Letterville Resident's Draw. If you a paid-up Resident, there is a decent chance you may win this copy. If you are not a Resident, there has never been a better time to consider moving to Letterville. Take a few seconds to browse our Letterville Resident's Page. You'll learn all about the Monthly Draws, as well as the numerous other perks Residents enjoy for supporting this website financially.

I am so glad to hear My Herb is in the book. It was my first question when I read the first post and was so glad when I got to Barb's post. (wonderfully written by the way Barb. Girl you don't say much, but when you do it is not only brilliant but beautiful as well. HEY STEVE! Ya paying attention here? )
Listen to me... "My" Herb.
Okay so he doesn't "belong" to me, but he is the one that taught me how to stripe. Someday I'll get up enough guts to stripe alongside this legend in the making... like he keeps asking me to at the Hot Rod Shows. He there in a booth, and me their as an entry with the '30 Model A. (or someday my '55 Chevy Long Bed Pick Up)
Of course he did say something about a bathing suit...?
Love ya Herb!
