Hey all,
I had a Sgt. come in today to get a couple of memorium decals for sept 11, and he gave me a contact for the purchasing guy and I have the opportunity to get the contract for doing the police cars if I play my cards right. The trick is, I want this account.. There are a LOT of cars, and I want to know what kind of pricing you folks do them for... I am competing against the local Auto Trim Design... Just trying to get some idea as I crunch numbers.
Of course they are completely reflective, stripe, florida decal on the door, and the word sheriff. Not really that big of a deal. Thanks for the help
Christian

Yup. We do. All of the KPD, the Sheriff's units and Whitefish PD as well.

6 years ago, unbeknownst to us, our Sheriff, Jim DuPont, entered a picture of the graphic we developed for him to an international LEO design contest.
When he came in with the letter announcing we had placed I asked, "Which place?" "Second," he says. SECOND?? Crap. Second. Then he drops the bomb. "Second out of 4,432 entries world wide!! Geez!! Well..... STILL should have been first.
heh........ Ungrateful, eh?

Anyway, that kit, installed, costs them $278.00 per unit. Kalispell prices, don'tchaknow. Reflective adds a full 95% to the cost.

The last cop car I did was 2/C reflective plus regular black with a 4/C 6" Ohio State seal and went for $405.00. Hope that helps some. I think it really depends on the complexity of the deisgn too.

Like Greg said, it depends on the job. In my opinion, I would use ONLY 3m Scotchlite Reflective! This was finished yesterday..........$645.00 -

Fifteen years ago I was getting $450 per unit based on 20 cars a year. Im sure today they would be worth more.
