OK...today was the deadline for puttin in a request for a variance. well i went down to them, and got the full info on what i needed to do. give them $350, go to tax office get 10 copies of the property and 500 ft in all directions. then i needed to get the names of all the people in that space, send them a registered letter of my impending request for a variance of size of building on my property and the date of the hearing. so if any dont want me to build this they can come and say no....and all i need is one a**hole neighbor, which i have and then they keep my $350 and i still wind up building the size of building that they allow me!!!!!!!! and this whole process will take near 2 months!!!! SCREW THEM.....ill do want they will let me...for now...hehehehehehehehehe

Joe, Get your wife to bake cookies for all the neighbors. Have a cookout...invite the neighbors...invite me. Make them all "welcome" signs for their homes. One or all of the above.
Tell the ones with the "Bush for pres" sign in their yard that you'll vote for Bush next time.

Hey OP, I built 3 shops in a row on my last property with NO PERMITS, when I sold, I just told them. . . .no problem. As a matter of fact, I built the last part for less than the cost of the permit alone! What can they do, throw you in jail! have fun. . . enjoy John

hahaha john....they can make your life miserable!!! one of my clients bought a piece of property put a modular home on it(maybe 1500 s.f.)then went into building a 30x40 2 story shop!!!!! well he got the building up before the do do hit the fan. the buiding he built was way over what he was alloted, then they harrassed him on the setbacks from the property lines(they told him what he did was right at 1st, then changed it)had him jumpin thru all kinda hoops...he finally went to lawyer....filed suit against the county...then the stopped bothering him!! he spent close to $5000 to keep them from makin him remove the building. wayne..your welcome anytime....the A**HOLE next door....well the ignorant s.o.b.(hes a republican, retired military, and i think hes a pediphile(my opinion of him)got 3 acres of land, built a brand new house 20 FEET FROM PROPERTY LINE...NEXT TO MY HOUSE!!!! because he wanted to make a trailer park of the rest of the property!!!! after he built the house....he comes to me and asks me to move a light(that was on my house while he was building his)because it shines right in his bedroom window!!!!!! told him 10 FOOT FENCE OR MOVE THE F****** HOUSE! then last year called the cops on me in broad daylight...cause my radio was to loud!!!!! yea ill be nice to him....the day they close the lid on the s.o.b.

He built a house 20 feet from your property line? was that to code? Nice codes you got down there. Go ahead and build the footprint they want, add your addition after your neighbor needs some other favor. Or croaks.

thats what iam gona do joe. bruce....this guy is an a**hole!!! thinks whatever he does is OK. heres the next dumb thing he did. he built this 2000 sq.ft. house less the 20 ft from property line, and yes he only needed to be 5 foot!!!! he felt like he ws doin me a favor puttin it where he did. now the house is a cathidral ceiling(big a** roof). HE DONT PUT IN A FRENCH DRAIN OR GUTTERS!!!!!! now we get some rains here that are 4-12" during huricains. he made no retention pond for all his water....when we got hit with a daluge....ALL HIS WATER CAME OUT FROM UNDER HIS FENCE...LIKE A FRIGGIN RIVER...DOWN MY DRIVE WAY(which is 300 ft long) TO THE STREET CULVERT!!! when the rain stopped and dried out a little i ordered about 5 yards of dirt(for my kitchen garden i was building 8x16 and 8 inches deep)and had it dumped right up against the fence, right where all that water was runnin out from. well next 6-10" rain....it all backed up into his yard...and was a nice lake!!!! the fence building he did is another cute story.....

We try to get along with all the neighbors but sometimes it just ain't possible. The only trouble we have ever had with neighbors was over dogs. Two of one neighbor's dogs "packed' with another neighbor's chow. They attacked one of my beagles in my yard. Before I could get to her, one had a leg, one had a hindquarter and the other had the throat. Naturally upset I called the neighbors and told them to come get their dogs, and that if they returned, they would be disposed of. They evidently didn't take me seriously and the dogs kept coming back. The two from one neighber didn't hurt anything further but the chow from the other neighbor kept coming back as well and acting aggressively. It growled at my 8 year old son on our front porch. After chasing him off a few times and calling the sherrif's dept. with no results there.(they told me to try to work it out among ourselves) I had had enough. An 8 year old boy in our town had had his throat ripped out and killed by a dog. It didn't make the neighbor happy but I killed his dog.
The neighbor went and bought ANOTHER black chow but this time it didn't visit us. But, after this childless couple had a set of twins, they got rid of the chow.

HEY SAMMY....ifa da a**a hole giveame any more trouble...i gona call cousin vinny!!!!!!!hahahahahaha. wayne your right, some you just cant get along with and i figured that out with this guy after 1st couple conversations. this one is a "people user", ijhe dont give a crap about anyone but himself, and ONLY wants people that are of USE to him!!!!! he surounds himself with a few losers(his family)which he lets them rent the 2 trailers and hauled in house. so he can fell like hes the honcho of his world. also he now got a DOG!!! and every time the yapper starts yappin i crank up the radio. the dog runs up and down the fence ...barking at his shadow...i was gona get a dog, but after livin here couple months, i realized i moved to DOGPATCH, U.S.A.
