So here I am trying to plan my summer travel schedule, and where I should go to ply my wares. I thought Canada looked pretty good, but getting my wares there is looking like a rather large pain in the hind quarters! Tomahawk also looks really good (the pictures are sure pretty) however there has been very little said about this event on the bullboard. So I figured I would take the direct route and just ask if any of you guys are planning on attending this event. And if you are going, what would you like to see offered by your vendors?

We will be there! We are really looking forward to it. We are using it as the beginning of our 25th wedding anniversary trip. As far as the vendor thing, BRUSHES! Everyone seems to like the brush table. Anything people can pick up, examine, buy and walk away with is a good thing! Catalogs and samples too.

Tough decision JoAnna. We'd like to be at both meets, but it's just not possible to be 2 places at once. Pierre was at the Mars meet last Summer promoting his meet, so many, including us, are committed to the Quebec Meet.
We're certain both meets will be wonderful. The Wisconsin gang did a great job with the International in Milwaukee a couple years back. Those not committed to either meet have a hard choice to make. We must take more care in the future to prevent these bigger meets from happening on the same weekend.

Hi Joanna, Maris and I will be there along with our 3 beautiful daughters. BRING BRUSHES!!! Gray and brown quills, flats, fitches, cutters, EVERYTHING! I will bring a BIG shopping list! Especially bring lots of smaller sizes as they do not last as long. I will be doing SURFACE GILDING seminar, and will be recommending the participants use BROWN QUILLS to lay their size and topcoat, so you'll probably have a good market for browns if people like my seminar.

Myself and Stewart Mclaren will be attending with some geezer called Mike Meyer, dont know much about the guy.. he looks kind of shady to me (Block shady that is , not cast) Looking to meet up with some old pals and Having a Party, hopefully see you there.
You are correct, there are a lot more people coming to Tomahawk this year for the SignCrafters Rendezvous, I think a lot of them are just readers of the board. . .not so much posters. Rest assured, there is going to be a great turn out and the meet is going to be lots of fun! If it were up to me, I would ask that you bring one, two or 10 of EVERYTHING . . .

I agree with Laurie in that there are MANY sign people who don't get on this board and if they do they just read or rarely post. Many say they don't have computers (yes, there are some! ), are too busy or just are quiet people. Our flyers about both of our meets went out to all the letterhead on a list that Doc Welty had for his magazine and some additional people that don't subscribe to AMOL but were sent invitations. We were in all the magazines I think. WE tried to reach everyone. The people that DO come will be there because they LIKE these types of meets and will definately be there to have a good experience and buy supplies...I would think especially brushes. Bring lots of those! Looking at who is involved and attending Tomahawk so far, we will have a good time, I can promise you THAT!
