I have a fussy customer who wants a perfectly geometric typeface with no differences in the strokewidth. Since these are going to made in 15" 5mm solid copper no mistakes can i afford!!!

Hi Miles, That looks fairly close to a "Highway Gothic E" except for the "E" and "L". Is it just this one word? Being a sans serif, it should be pretty easy to build with your CAS program.
Did you run it through your Fontmatcher program?

Miles...I would think that Ariel Bold would be as good as any letterstyle to use as a starting point. I just overlaid it on the pic you posted and did a bit of stretching and kerning and it fit perfectly...for the letters in the CHANEL logo.
