can you guess where I worked lately? Here's a pic...
What an amazing view! I had Jenna with me and during my lunch, we walked across the road to a little park. All I heard was the buzz of bees and the flip of a nearby flag.
Oh, and here was my ever helpful 'employee.'

The area is up near Ryder Lake. (I think that's near columbia valley?? You may be right Dan!)
This is a little side road off Elk View Rd. Elk View is the curviest road I've ever driven! You don't dare drink coffee while you're driving (motion sickness). So we took our time curving up the mountain road, where suddenly the area straightens out and you've landed in this little valley of sorts. It's amazing. Apparently the way the valley sits, they get more sun than the rest of the area close by. It is soooo quiet out there your breathing sounds as if it's on high volume.
Nettie, that's a great idea using that photo somewhere! Jenna has pretty much become my shadow, and if it's possible to take her on a job with me, I do. I actually like to in remote areas such as this, security wise.

I once took a motorcycle trip across state Rt. 28 through the Adirondacks in up-state New York and saw some panoramas a lot like this one. Absolutely breathtaking

Living in the mountains or near them can be the most relaxing feeling I know. Nature has a way of changing your outlook on life. For the last five years, (has it been that long) I've lived in the one of the most beautiful places in the world; Lake Tahoe. If you've never been there, I would suggest you start making plans to. About a year ago, I moved to a lower elevation 3,000 feet, because being at 8,000 feet was a little too much for me.
Thats Lake Spalding about five minutes from here.
Thats Lake Tahoe. In the background you can see Heavenly Valley Ski Resort
The above photo is just a few minutes from me. The area is widely known for the rich deposits gold. During the 1850`s the "Gold Rush" saw thousands of prospectors flock to this area to mine this precious metal. Every park has a "monitor" (water cannon for strip mining) in them as a reminder to its rich history.
Hope you enjoy *all* the photos.

Richard, simply beautiful! It looks so much like Cultus Lake where Dan's Giggle Ridge is. Lush and green, forest like. Feels so much like home, not sure I'd even have to go there!
Another amazing place is where Adrienne and Jackson are, the Olympic Peninsula. A, got some nice pics to share?

Terry, The scenery in B.C. is soooooo spectacular, you never 'get used to it' (unless you're brain dead) We traveled from Vancouver to Nanaimo (Vancouver Island) last night on the 8:30 pm ferry, the perfect direction to view the setting sun.....it was two hours of scenic bliss.....coastal mountains, city shoreline, calm waters, wild seals and the most colourful sky and sunset you could imagine. At every turn the splendor of this province's rugged beauty amazes me.....we often stop to absorb a 'B.C. moment' and appreciate the 'to-die-for' area we live in. I find sometimes I just stand there and take a deep breath, to etch into my mind what I am seeing. Everywhere in this world has unique beauty but our southern B.C. area is one of the best. Come on over, and see for yourself. On second thought...don't tell anyone, they might like to move here too!!!! Sue
