I hope that drives the shares up. I own 400 shares. My brother bought when it was $42.00 a share and had been hanging onto it. I convinved my dad to buy when it was $4.00, thinking that it would go back up. That was 2 years ago.

Fond memories of Corel, one of the few stocks I made money with... In '99 I bought at $5 and bought more at $9 I rode it up to it's peak (62 , I think) and managed to dump at $48 on the way down .. I took a gain of about 32K , which I subsequently managed to lose with winners like Nortel and Bell Canada International ... such is life

Sorry Laura, but when this company buys Corel, it has planned to take it back private. This means you will recieve a check for the agreed buyout value. In this case a little less than 1.10 per share less the brokerage firm. This should not be legal, but I have discussed it with my brokerage firm, and they told me to stay out of it for this reason.
