I have been trying for weeks to get liability insurance and coverage for my office/shop equipment that is in my home. My homeowners policy/company will not cover the business stuff (State Farm).
I have been turned down by St. Paul Company, Zurich Direct, Naionwide, CNA, Peerless and I can't even remember the other ones. The ones that will take me are over $4100/yr. Hell, I can't afford that.
I would love to hear from anyone else in the state that might have suggestions or even out-of-state. As I mentioned in another post, Florida sucks!! If I didn't care about my daughter being around her grandparents I'd leave this idiotic state.
Thanks!

Hi Amy, Even tho I am in Georgia, my home based business was not covered by my homeowners insurance either. Now I have $300,000 liability and coverage(replacement cost) for my computer, plotter, fax, printer etc in my home office. Auto Owners Insurance is very reasonably priced...$255 a year. Check with an independent insurance company that sells Auto Owners Insurance. Good luck! Judy
