I've been doing some experimenting with plastic routed signs. Had the cnc router service do some samples with this tan-green-tan 1/2" Polycarve. Thank You Bob Stephens, you gave me some info on this a while back. We've got everything figured out except how to attach the 1/2" plastic sign to the 4x4 plastic post without drilling through the front. The signs we're making are 18" x 24" and need to be attached to a single post. The sign is only 1/2" thick so there's not much there to grab. Bob, have you delt with this? Any ideas anybody? Thanks!

Tom my question is whats your objection to fastening the sign from the front with bolts or screws?

If its the unsightly appearance, then I have a solution for that.

I recently discovered at Home Depot and I'm sure Lowes would have them also, an assortment of different plastic caps designed to cover mounting hardware. They can be painted if need be and really do not look bad on your sign plus if you should ever need to remove the sign you can get them off later on.

I now design them into my signs as a design element so they don't look like an after thought. Check them out next time you're at the hardware store.

Here's a couple of links:

I figured you'd have an idea Bob. This would hide the unsightly screwhead. It would also be the most durable hold. This give's me the idea to countersink the screws sightly the cap them with plugs cut from the scrap plastic so it matches perfect. Thanks again Bob!
