Any Letterheads out there in Minnesota? My sister (who lives in Chanhassen) says the new gun law requires every public restaurant, store, etc. POST a sign asking people to NOT bring guns onto/into their establishment. Otherwise, people are allowed to carry the gun by law. My sister says the local McSign companies are swampped with work. Any way to tap into some of that?

Mark just about every state that allows concealed carry has some type of requirement to that effect. The first place you should look is www.packing.org -they may give you the state statutes regarding that or not,if they don't they will have a link to either the State Police or attorney general etc etc, whoever it is in that particular state that handles concealed carry. It's prob not as huge a market as you think but it could very well be a foot in the door somewhere.

It will be interesting to see if those signs become known as "You can rob us without fear of injury" signs. I get a little offended by signs that essentially say you are not to be trusted unless you are first rendered helpless. I expect some interesting court cases once someone gets attacked in a "no-gun" area. Does the property owner assume responsibility for the safety of visitors who are not allowed to protect themselves? The MN law is very specific about sign size, font, color, etc. They should have devolped a universal symbol that can be executed in different color combinations, so as to fit the decor of the premises better.

The way my sister made it sound is that the law is such that the establishment MUST display a sign explaining their posistion on carrying concealed guns. Personally, I've never seen a sign about carrying a gun (or not) anywhere except at state borders. It's not a market that I'd be wanting to persue I was just wondering if any fellow sign shop out in Minneapolis is experiencing this rush for signs. My sister said they covered the story on the news from the angle of it being a boom for the sign companies.
