On my web site, I have had more than a few "complaints" that my pics load too slow. I am sure I scanned them at too high a resolution. I had planned to take some photos off soon, as it is a little cluttered, and redo the signs photos page, so what can I do about the dpi. Should I take them back into photoshop and resample at a lower resolution? Waiting for replies.

John....a good size for a photo is 400x? at the biggest ...thats 400 or less high or 400 or less wide....at 72 dpi......if its a non photo use a gif..256 websafe colors......and if its a jpeg you can set the settings at medium optimized standerd not progressive........if your making thumb nails then creat 2 images ...dont resize a large image into a thumbnail.....make a nail 150 abouts in size..........those are standerd measuremants...hope this helps.....DocCyber

Thanks Doc. Did what you said on the thumbnails. That seemed to be the problem. I went back and made thumbnails at 150 pixels and low resolution and it helped quite a bit. THanks for the help.
