There's only 17 days left until June 13. That's the deadline for the discounted "early bird" registration for Letter Rip on Route 66. If you are for sure you are going and want to save some money go to www.letterrip.org and click on the flashing neon "register here" sign for details. this thing's gonna be huge, don't miss it.

Also, when calling for a motel reservation in the area, don't forget to mention you are a LETTERHEAD. Some of the local motels have space reserved just for us, so if you don't tell them that they will say they are full! I think there are still some rooms available right in Atlanta.

It's time to check out the projects for this meet if you haven't already. The project that I'm working on (Wisteria Cafe)calls for back painting on plexiglass and will be installed in a building in place of boarded over windows. I am going to try to make the upper windows look like the old transom glass blocks in buildings of that period. If you have any suggestions, please post to this. I am looking forward to this meet. The little town of Atlanta showed us such a good time last year and it is worth the effort to see some of the building restorations that have already taken place. Hope to see you there and if you would like to help on my project, give me a holler! Nancy

You definitely want to specify that you will be there for the Letterhead meet when asking about rooms. I called when this was first announced, and was told there were no rooms available. I called again, just over a month ago, and I have reservations at the I-55 Motel in Atlanta. Seems they have closed the hotel, except for attendees of the meet.
I attended this meet last year, and it is a great little town, with about 1600 fantastic people. These people also cook some of the best food you will ever eat in your life!
Come to Atlanta, sling some paint, learn some tricks, and have a great time, all while getting your kicks on Route 66!
