I'm curious if anyone has used one of those new Roto-zip or similar tools for sign fabrication. They look pretty cool for uses in sign foam, MDO ect. Seems light they could do a lot of the work of a hand router with more control. Any feedback is appreciated.

We use ours quite a bit for HDU. PVC tends to get a little melted and nasty, but can be cleaned up. We have used it for MDO also, but it can burn it with the wrong bit.
Well worth the price.

I haven't used mine for a while but it's good for HDU. Get the Dewalt version. Rotozips are all plastic and it's not. I have the Dewalt. No wrench needed to change bits either.
