Maxillofacial Osteonecrosis. None of the neuros had been right. The nerve had most certainly been damaged, but nobody noted that the cheekbone itself had sustained a trauma. This disease accounts for the facial pain, sinusitus, impaction, teeth dying, debilitating migraines and anorexia. Antibiotics won't be working since there is no blood flow through that area any longer, but she'll be taking interim medications that should provide a modicum of relief. Her spirits are definitely up just knowing the root problem has been identified and can be cured with surgery, grafts and, possibly, a prosthesis. I do have her home and she'll be allowed to post here and in the monitored chatroom of her old firearms site. She's allowed to post there as long as the webmaster is present to monitor whoever else may be there at the same time. That webmaster is an extremely knowledgeable lady within the firearms world. She's taken Rosemary under her wing, so we're not worried about her either there or here. We expect her to be her regular feisty seld within another 4 months or so. We're on two treatment waiting lists. There are only 9 clinics in the country qualified to do this procedure.

How awesome! I just emailed you last night about Rosemary, great news to see at least you know now what it is. Good luck on the waiting lists. They always say "waiting is the worst part", here I think you already went through the worst part, not knowing what it was. Can't wait to see her around here again and I'll keep good thoughts.

Thank you, Joe, Rick, Deb and Dave. Our lives seem to have revolved around this for so very long. My heart hasn't really been in my work for quite a while. If it weren't for Latigo I don't know where we'd be right now in the studio. Thank God for straight up children. They seem to be so few and far between anymore. We'll be back before long.

Thank you for letting us know the good news! We know this has been a difficult thing for the whole family and pray that the strength and devotion you guys have with each other never waivers.
Cheers!

I just found this post and I am so happy. I got goosebumps of excitement, even though, as the name of the diagnosis implies, and you have learned through living with it, that this is very serious. Facing a difficult, but more clearcut path is easier than not knowing anything and stumbling along in ignorance. Knowing that there will be an end to it makes the stepping stones a little easier to bear.
At least I hope so and pray for it!!
I think about you often, Rosemary, and you too, Pierre.

Dana and I will continue to pray for you. We truly believe in the power of prayer. We wish the best foryou and yours.
Pierre, I firmly believe that apples don't fall far from the tree. You children's attitudes are a direct result of the love and parential attention they must have recieved at home growing up. They are very much a reflection on you. Keep up the good work, Bro!
Have a great one!
