I have several 30" x 144" 1/2 mdo signs to do for a shopping center. I can only get 120" lenths so I'll be adding 24" panels to get the lenth I need.
I'll be mounting them on 1x2 premiun grade lumber.
I'd like to fill in the crack of the butt joint with a compound that will last over the long haul. I'll sand and prime and paint one shot over it so it isn't noticable.

Hi Mike I have a friend that is a boat builder he just made up some 16 foot sheets of plywood to cut planks from....for the boat he's building he made a scarf joint....its a beveled joint... and glued with epoxy. contact Gougeon Bros/west system...they have a jig and advice for you....
