So like on Monday I was out on the man-lift lettering this building. I put all of my toys in the cage and went up. I had put my prescription eyeglasses in the same bucket I had my paint and thinner in. Well the bumpyness of the manlift caused my eyeglasses to hop into my can of paint. I took them out and wiped them all clean with a rags and mineral sprits. So I though "Gee, where can I put my glasses where they will be safe?" So I put them in my bra. After a several hours, I forgot all about my glasses in my bra. But all of a sudden I got an itchy feeling on my boob. So I saw the glasses and took them out. And would you know, the little tiny bit of thinner that was between the glasses and the frame was enough to put a round burn mark on my boob. Ouch! The next day it was even more noticeable. So there ya go, gotta watch where you get paint thinner on.

Note to self... If I drop my specs in paint, then clean them off w/ thinner. Don't Put them in pants pocket!
Hope it's not to forward, as I am new around here, but I hope your boob is OK.

Guys in body shops around here will saturate a rag with lac. thinner on a super hot day. They will walk up to somebody and slap'em in the butt as hard as they can. The thinner is soaked up so fast its a done deal. I have seen big old bad asses run for the bathroom ripping their pants off. I was puting in glass at one when they got me. I got them back but thats anouther story.Man that was the worst burn that I have ever had.

I had a good Pentax MX camera land in a bucket of paint from a similar accident many years ago. I've kept the camera in the optimistic chance it's fixable- the kids have attacked it from time to time, but the paint did a great job of glueing everything up. Paint Lids now stay on till the very last minute!

Well not quite as painful, but just as embarrasing. I dropped my mobile phone down the loo. It fell out my pocket in the process!! Very embarrasing explaining to the insurance when trying to get a new one. Especially as they suggested I let it dry out and continue using it!

I worked for a sign shop that woud get up and coming artist. We would be working on a job when I would give a thinner rag for him to hold. Well naturally, they'de put the rag in their pocket. I guess you know the rest first hand.

Same as Sheila, yup, sat on the mineral spirit rag while on a scaffold in the old days. Had to rush to a Greek restaurant during lunch and scrub up!!! Okay, Alicia, now this is a hot subject! (soap and water does work, and I returned to the job afterwards.)
