We have done that in Corel Photo Paint. Its difficult with a mouse. A Wacom tablet is what you will need.
We start with a very large screen, 24 inches high x 48 at 150 DPI
Type in the text and then use some of the effects tool, or plugins to create some knock out beveled edges and fills.
Use the smuge tools and airbrush tools to tweek some neat effects.
Adobe 7 has preset effects tools that will blow your lettering away with easy point and click effects and adjustments. What is nice about Adobe 7 is that you work in layers, and you can keep building up different effets in different layers, edit only the layer you wish, or turn that layer off if you don't care for it.
If you save these files as a .tiff, at this high of resoultuion, Edge prints are crystal clear, and of course you can send the file to a billboard banner printer and expect some fairly good results. Wide format prints will also do a good job rendering your work.
Thanks for the info., that sounds very interesting indeed. I thank you for your post, and will seriously look into Adobe photoshop for further experimentation.
Thanks again, Ivan
