I am looking for a source where I can by .125" thick enravers' brass blanks pre-cut to size. The size for this particular job is 1.5"x7.5". Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

TJ, if you buy from someone other than an engraving source, make sure you are getting the leaded engraving brass, not a hard commercial brass. The hard stuff is a tiger to engrave.

When we had our retail store we used to buy the sheets of engravers brass and cut them to the desired shape on our CNC router, then make a squaring template for the engraver, and then engrave. I think the thickest available from Johnson Plastics was something like .050

For thicker materials, we ordered the brass shapes as if they were letters from Gemini Inc. This works, but the brass is not leaded and is hard to engrave.

Our wholesale business Anchorblanks has not offered this service, but we can help in some way, shoot us an email. Vic G

PS I will be in the router shop most of Tuesday 925 825 1618 Vic G
