I'm thinking either one. They're for a grocery store. I haven't seen the design yet, so I really don't know where they're going. Thanks for the quick response.

Guess we're always learning,Went on yahoo search and found lots on "rigid vinyl" seems it is a pvc plastic. It is used alot on frames for windows and also in sheet form.

Felix, They are porbably talking about Sintra or similar product. Alot of the grocery storesd herre use it for the signs that hang at the end of the aisles telling you whats on that aisle.

if you're/they're talking EXPANDED PVC, then you've got lots of options.
Sintra is one (brand name)--Celtec from Vycom another -- also Komatex from Kommerling. Typically available in 1, 2, 3 6 and 13 mm thicknesses (3mm being .118 or eighth inch) 6 mm being quarter inch, 13 mm being half inch and so on. Most common thickness is the 3 mm. Available in white, black, and about 10 other basic colours. Can be saw cut, routered, knife cut(multiple passes).
If you're gonna put vinyl on it or paint on it, be sure to clean it first with Alcohol.

There is a few "plastic" substrates that I have used that are printable right on the Edge... cool stuff I make my business cards on the Semi Ridgid PVC, also have Polycarb and other goodies. I have a sample selector from Hyatt's 800-234-9288. These are punche and roll right through the machines then score cut and snap clean off the sheet. Damn I thought were gonna see picks of a chopper!

My boss used that term all the time and drove me crazy with it, it's thin Polycarb. (Lexan) I forgot he mil thickness we used but it was thin enough to flex, but kept it's shape. We used both non-glare and regular.
