I've got a job where I need to paint a 4'x4' two color graphic on a tile floor. I will be cutting a mask and then rolling the paint.
The floor is a vinyl composition commercial tile. I thought that vinyl ink would be the way to go, but a supplier recommended urethane paint. What would you use?
Any other tips/tricks/hints you could share about this type of job?

First off David I work on these tile floors all the time at the school board.New tile has sealer and if the people have waxed this must be scrubed off in order to paint.If you are useing inks they are easy to reseal because they will absorb easier.Urathane paints will ware faster.Hope this helps.

I can't quote you brand names of products, cause they different "down-under", but to prepare the tiles, ... clean them down with a "vinyl-prep-wash" first. Thin the vinyl ink out with lacquor thinners which will cut thru everything. A second coat ink will bring up a gloss. This is quite durable ... but if you want to go the 'whole-hog" bang on a two pack clear over it.
