For the St.Maries, at least. I wish I could just once come in here with a good post, a reasonable answer or good news. Rosemary is headed downhill again with anorexia. We don't seem able to stop it. Whatever goes down comes immediately back up. Back to the clinics, neuros etc., ad nauseum.
Lat or I will keep you posted if there's any change. She won't be around for a while again, and, without her, I'm too busy in both studios for the net. Take care, gang.

Im a believer in prayer Pierre, and although sometimes it seems it doesnt seem to get through, we keep on trying. My fathers church has prayer service each day at 12 noon. They have a little box where they put the names of people needing prayer and they pray over it. Ill be sure that dad puts rosemarys name in there tomorrow and every other day.

It sounded like things were going so much better there for a while. Very sorry to hear there are problems again for Rosemary. Wish there was something we could do to help.

Pierre, When I was her age or close (20) I inherited a nervous stomach which caused me to do the same thing for months, fortunately I could keep food down long enough to get some good from it...... A doctor prescribed me Donatal (sp) for the problem which didn't seem to work for a week or two. Before the month was over, I could just put one of the little pills in my mouth and get immediate relief. Within 2 months my problems passed and that was it. Good luck, Jack

Thank all of you, and thanks for the info, Jack. I'll try to explain the "whys". The damaged Trigeminal nerve is in a sheath. This sheath is normally inflamed with few respites, and it always returns. The nerve canal and sheath are in direct connection to the sinuses and the upper right side teeth. Her upper teeth were disconnected long ago after repeated swelling, relief drilling and filling. Three root canals were performed in that area. The teeth are still there but no longer alive. The inflammation of the nerve sheath is transferred dirctly to the sinuses which then become infected. The infection eventually causes impacted sinuses which must be drained. The extreme rear sinus cavities near the brain can only be reached by drilling through the skull in the eyebrow area to hide the resultant tiny scars. They are then drained with a suction apparatus. This procedure has been twice performed. The other cavities are drained an average of once every three months. Once drained and the infection is cotrolled, the whole process begins again in a three month cycle. Drainage from the sinuses into her stomach causes a low level continuous nausea. Various control medications further inhibit her appetite and desire to eat anything at all. When this becomes the norm, anorexia sets in or is, at the least, always right there on the edge. She has had 3 procedures on the nerve itself, and the only way in is through her mouth. They actually separate her cheek from her upper gums to gain access. That procedure adds to appetite inhibition. You can see that there are a number of factors that can promote anorexia. Believe me, we've tried every approach possible. Herbal, accupunture (dangerous in this area we've found out) and surgery. Nothing has worked. We are on a Neuro Alert list for any new procedures developed that could be a possibility. We're hopeful, but Rosemary has lost confidence in ever being normal again. We have a double edged sword with which to contend. Your good wishes and prayers do make a difference to us. Thank you all.

It sounds much worse as you explain it then when Rosemary explained it to me. But you explained it so well that I can see how bad it really is. Thanks for telling us and I keep your whole family in my prayers. Makes me realize my troubles are small compared to yours. Your post has actually helped me decide which way to go with a tough decision I have to make soon with custody of the girls. Decided to make it permanent custody even with losing the help for daycare. You made me realize it could be much worse. And I will not worry as much now when the 5 year old will not eat because she is upset with her mother not seeing her. What she does eat stays down so I am grafeful after your post.
Hang in there and be Rosemary's rock.
Thanks,
Debbie
