Alright! So this is not REALLY mine - I took a photo of this Restaurant window in the heart of Indianapolis last week, and guess where we had lunch!?
Personally I have never come up with a UPS (unique positioning statement) for my business. In my yellow page ad I use "serving the Triad since 1977" - (our three city area) and also :"Satisfaction and Accuracy guaranteed".
I always always make good on any mistake I make, and I have learned to ask enough questions and to not second guess a customer so that the Satisfaction part has not been a problem (at any rate... I can't remember a glaring one right this minute....)

The "get in here now" reminded me of one I seem to remember somewhere: "If you don't buy from us, we'll BOTH be broke!

Deb! Flattery will get you ....one more. After Lunch at "Get in here Now" I rounded the corner and saw this one on the window of the Hardrock Cafe. I took the photo with my Canon Powershot S30 digital camera set to: Vivid on it's color palette, which also included b/w and sepia.

"Award-winning signs since 1988" is one. "I.N.J.A.F.S.A" (borrowed years ago from David Butler) is another, but I don't necessarily tell everyone what it stands for.

I am surpirsed at the number of different ones. Ours use to be "color and imagination" Now with all the different things we do it's "We add color to everything!"

At our BNI meetings we are encourage to use these "hook" slogons. We help each other to develop "hooks" because some in our group have trouble coming up with their own.
What you may not realize is that it is OK to have several "hooks" as the whole point is to get people to remember you when the proper time comes.
We use several: Draper the Signmaker was a "hook" that became the business name.
Then we added another: We make the Signs of the Times!
Others that I have heard over the years used by other sign shops: -------------------------------------- No Business Sign is a Sign of No Business --------------------------------------- If you wont advertise your own business, we also make "going out of business" signs. -------------------------------------

We used "Look Good-Go Fast- Close Doesn't Count" for about 15 years...we just started using "It's Not What You Say, It's How You Hit 'Em When You Say It" this year.
We get a few tilted-head-confused-Labridor-retreiver-puppy-kinda looks from time to time..hey hey, I like it!
