The company I currently work for bought my home based sign company a little over a year ago. It was a easy way for them to acquire a Gerber Edge and someone who knew how to run it all at once, hence, no learning curve It was a HUGE step up in clientele from the other "Guy and a plotter" shops I was used to wholesaling to & trading info with. Not to mention a whole new world with regards to pricing jobs, not using low grade vinyl's for everything, getting things done the same afternoon the job came , etc. Anyway, after months of getting me used to using premium materials and charging a premium price for jobs, the running joke is that my old company's slogan was...
"Cheap Crap Fast"

A few years ago I posted asking for suggestions for a slogan and Nettie came up with "Get Happy & Get Noticed". That one is a keeper and I'll be forever grateful to her.

Others I have seen over the years... Our craftsmanship is your best advertisement. Greats signage don't cost... it pays! We will do signs before thier time. The bitterness of a lousy sign will outlast the sweetness of a low price. Lettering like the best... cheaper than the rest!
Mine currently is "bring it in... get it done"

My current slogan is: Professional Signs for Professional People. My 'old' slogan is: "If your sign isn't becoming to you...You should be coming to us!" I still use that one every now and then. It's always good for a grin .

The one I've been using since 98 i think it was, is "from Mild to WILD" and have a tiger as a part of my logo. This suits what I do as I do traditional hand writted signs from basic stuff right thru to full blown airbrushed murals and graphics and airbrushed signs.
Works for me anyway!
Cheers big ears!

Alright! So this is not REALLY mine - I took a photo of this Restaurant window in the heart of Indianapolis last week, and guess where we had lunch!?
Personally I have never come up with a UPS (unique positioning statement) for my business. In my yellow page ad I use "serving the Triad since 1977" - (our three city area) and also :"Satisfaction and Accuracy guaranteed".
I always always make good on any mistake I make, and I have learned to ask enough questions and to not second guess a customer so that the Satisfaction part has not been a problem (at any rate... I can't remember a glaring one right this minute....)

Deb! Flattery will get you ....one more. After Lunch at "Get in here Now" I rounded the corner and saw this one on the window of the Hardrock Cafe. I took the photo with my Canon Powershot S30 digital camera set to: Vivid on it's color palette, which also included b/w and sepia.

"Award-winning signs since 1988" is one. "I.N.J.A.F.S.A" (borrowed years ago from David Butler) is another, but I don't necessarily tell everyone what it stands for.

I am surpirsed at the number of different ones. Ours use to be "color and imagination" Now with all the different things we do it's "We add color to everything!"

At our BNI meetings we are encourage to use these "hook" slogons. We help each other to develop "hooks" because some in our group have trouble coming up with their own.
What you may not realize is that it is OK to have several "hooks" as the whole point is to get people to remember you when the proper time comes.
We use several: Draper the Signmaker was a "hook" that became the business name.
Then we added another: We make the Signs of the Times!
Others that I have heard over the years used by other sign shops: -------------------------------------- No Business Sign is a Sign of No Business --------------------------------------- If you wont advertise your own business, we also make "going out of business" signs. -------------------------------------
