Hey Heads!

Finished applying a dozen or so sub-surface (2nd surface - reversed out) graphics to the inside of some 1/8" curved acrylic pieces with a non - glare finish. (It's not P-90 for those of you who know what that is but, similar, just a different brand). I'm actually told it's a P-95.

We removed the protective lining on the face after the signs were completed only to find that there is a RESIDUE and we have had no luck removing from the face of these signs (sign size is approx. 26" x 36" each). We are pretty sure that the RESIDUE was created from the HEAT used to curve theses signs.

I have tried Rapid Remover, Rapid Tac and my boss has experimented with some Novus plastic polish and scotchbright pads, Isopropyl Alcohol, Acetone,
wash n wipe, methyl hydrate...yet, no remedy.

There has gotta be someone out there who has the cure.

Is it you?
Any advice is always greatly appreciated.

I couldn't help but notice...you didn't mention "water"...usually after I try everything in the world to remove something Patsee walks up with a wet rag and voila.

It really couldn't be that simple? Just a little soap and water?

Good luck!

MaGuiars is a specific for acrylic surface restoration. If that won't work, you may have a problem that may not be resolved.

OK.. Let's see if this helps (Meguiars) Mirror Glaze Number 10 it is for clear plastic, 8 oz. bottle. Meguiars is located in Irvine, Ca. 92713 or try an Auto Paint Store. This stuff is BLACK in color and Restores Optic Clarity To:From Boats to Aircraft Windshields. It's always got me out of a Jam. Good Luck.

Yep, tried water...didn't work.
Tried Megruiar's too...little help.

Ironically enough, I remember when I lived in California 9 or 10 years ago installing their (Meguiar's) dimensional entrance signs...fun job.

The sub who fabricated these has since remedied the situation. Thanks for you advice and replies.
