I know it's a frowned upon big time when your vendors are working against you on jobs, but what about the manufacturers?

I'm bidding on a job right now where I've actually seen the estimate given to them by 3M. Like I stand a chance with this one.

Chances are they were spect on the job...and chances are they aren't interested in the application so they bid the install sky high then they will sub to an install...so you still have a chance...get your jobbers cost add your install...you'll likely be the low bid.

I might add ...what have you got to lose?..If you don't bid it you damn sure won't get it.

Just my thoughts!

Been there done that Bruce, don't sweat the small schict, 3M peed in my pool many times when I was a hot shot fleet graphics guy.... then I made friends with the local rep.... and they sent me stuff from time to time and made me some kinda regional smething or other. After that they figured some local should get the work, I never feel bad about being out bid.... just out smarted when I know better.
My advice is have a brewski and go pinstripe and flame the family lawnmower.... 3M can't do that and you'll feel alot better... look cool mowing the lawn too. Send in your bid though, like Monte sez... can't hurt....
