Hello All,

I recently got a new computer. we installed win98, then signlab 4.95, I have a Roland camm1 1000 pnc plotter, when I try to cut it gives error message "cannot recognize i.d." A similar thing happened a while back, after installing win ME. the solution was a new driver from signlab, since that time they no longer support 4.95. Help! dead in the water.

Have you tried to download the driver for your device from the CadLink website? There should be backward compatibility regardless of the version. Just a thought.

Pat,

Thanks for the info., however I found the problem, and kind of embarrassed to say plotter setup defaulted to com1 port, instead of parallel 1.

I love it when I make an ass out of myself and discover it so it doesn't cost me blood or money [Wink] Glad you found your problem.
