I think most call it Diamond Coat. Advantage Sign Supply carries it.

This was covered pretty well on the 4EdgeTalk board awhile back. Here's a link to the discussion:

Hey Diane,
Thanks for the rapid reply....
Is this applied after weeding? Do I need to wait a week before I can use it? Are you having some warm weather like Maine is?? [Cool] [Cool] [Cool]

I have had great results with RDS Acuflow's AcuDome. They even make a great little starter kit.

A little spring-like, but not terribly warm yet.

I think the curing time is 2-3 days. We always do our doming on Friday night for shipment Monday morning. Yes, you definitely weed first! You dispense a dollop of resin in the centre of the decal. The resin flows out to the edges and magically stops there! For sure you want your design to include corners rounded to a minimum of 1/8". Anything less is too much of a pain to coax the resin into.

Like Brian, we use AcuDome.

What was being used at Fred's was PB Resin from Coastal Enterprises (Folks who make Precision Board HDU). We use it over HDU cut out letters. It dries overnight and then can be gold leafed. For color we just add a few drops of lettering enamel and stir it up really well. I haven't tried it on vinyl, but it should work the same way as AccuDome, only you don't add color.

We put it on with one of those dispensers that diners use for mustard and ketchup.

Stephen,
The product that Brian suggests works great. It is easy to handle too and figure out. I had a panel party and Henry at RDS sent some samples. I got them on Tuesday and played with it some that day. I called Henry with a couple of ?s and he helped me on the spot. He is a great guy and very helpful. You apply on top of the weeded vinyl and it cures in about 24hrs. It is clear so it appears to be whatever color the vinyl is. It also has a 10 yr outdoor life. Give them a call 508-429-6024

Ernie use Envirotex- a 2 part resin, that you can get at A.C. Moore or Michaels craft stores. He uses a glue syringe to squeeze it onto the weeded decals. Then takes a propane torch an lightly waves it over the decals. This causes the air bubbles to outgas. It will take 24-36 hours sitting on a level surface - undisturbed to fully cure. An 8 ounce kit costs aabout $7,
the glue syringe- about $1 (get from home depot or a wood craft/wood worker supply place or a good lumber yard).
