Tampa Bay Lightning win series against Washington Capitals. Waiting to hear second round schedule against Jersey Devils. Will attend Sandcastle if no home games scheduled for next weekend. I am looking forward to the meet, but I HAVE to work the game if there is one. Been waiting for this a long time. Will be at the airport tonight to welcome them home.

Hope things work out so you can make Sandcastle!! But if it doesn't, from the sound of your post I assume that's a good deal for you also so I guess it's really a "can't lose" proposistion, right??
I'm assuming these are sports teams and am curious. What kind of game are we talking about here??

The best game, hockey. From what I can find out so far looks like no home weekend games. First two games at Jersey Thurs and Sat. Hey Cheryl is there cable available or will I have to leave early Sat to watch at the hotel?
Dennis, our shop is a bit in the sticks, cable hasn't made it there yet. We do have a portable satalite, don't know the details, but there is a possibility we can accomodate your request. Ooops, what I meant to say was; We don't need no stinking Hockey games on the boob tube during SANDCASTLE Panel Jam! Just kidding, I'm feeling ornery, we'll see what we can do to keep you with us...
Cher.

Thanks, Dennis! I appreciate the answer because I guess I've led kind of a sheltered life since I really didn't know. Now I've got something to say when Mike Myer starts that hockey-talkin'!! I'll just lean back & say..."oh yeah, howz 'bout them Jersey Devils.....if Dennis Goddard wuz up there he'd get 'em straightened out!!"
Hey Cher!! maybe we can change the name of the Cow Chip Tossing contest to Pasture Hockey & maybe that'll get Dennis AND Mike Myer there....I can see 'em both sayin' "what, the puck?!!

It's an excellent idea to have a hockey team in Florida. We had over 20,000 at each of our 3 playoff games all sellouts, the Caps had about 15,000(announced, many less actual) I was one of several hundred at the airport at midnight last night to welcome them home. I wish I had grown up where hockey was played. South Florida is no place for a hockey team. (We can't stand the stinkin' Panthers) I will be able to make the meet anyway so see you there.

Don....while I don't know enough about it to explain why it's a good idea to have a hockey team in Florida, I'm not surprised to find one there. After all, Phoenix, Arizona is home to a professional hockey team and if hockey can survive in he middle of the desert with our long 100+ degree summers, it'll survive in Florida. At least you don't have to haul the water to make the rink as far as we do!!
Dennis...I'm looking forward to seeing you at the meet. I've got a couple more hockey questions and while I realize you'd rather be at the rink I'm glad you'll be able to join us at the castle. With your enthusiasm for the game, I'll bet you leave the meet having created a couple of new fans and that means more tickets sold down the road, right?
