I've been cataloging all my pictures and setting them up in catagories like...Interior, Wall,Ground, windows etc.

I use a program called "Thumbs Plus" it loads really fast (as long as I load the pics as medium jegs)from my antique digital.

Now when a customer comes in and wants to look at some of our work I just boot "thumbs" and present them with a slide show presentation.

I have about 100 pics loaded in probably 10 catagories and adding more every day.

Is anyone else doing this...or something similar?

What program are you using?

Do you find it effective?

Any tricks...other than just loading and showing them?

We did a full blast slide show complete with an original song. Never used it much, as it went out of date too fast.

Gotta dig it out and polish it up again.

Hi Adrienne...wonderful web site [Smile]

I tried to sign your guest book but it never opened (might want to check it out).

I only wish I had your talent.

Thumbs 4 should be available at any software (digital cam section)

I made a vcd and dvd of my work. I play it on the television and on the dvd player/tv in my truck at car shows. It really impresses the customer. Also I will let it cycle on my shop tv. New customers seem to like it alot.

I use the pro version of CompuPic all the time and it works great.

AC/DC is another similar program.

Oops, should be AC-DSee. Older versions (version 2.43 classic) were OK but newer ones seem to crash a lot.

I've been using a digital portfolio for some time now. Parent folder is Signpix and then all of my signs are grouped by category in alphabetical order.

I spent countless hours scanning in over thirty years worth of photos and cleaning up scratches etc. I just checked and have over a thousand sign pictures.

I only use Windows XP file browser so no need for any third party viewers anymore. Priviously I used AC/DC for a viewer but thats no longer necessary.

I have a slick gallery page on my website that uses some of the categories also. It helps the client see what they want to see without having to look at everything else.

One day when I get really bored Im going to scan in my family photo albums and go all digital with those too.
