Figured I'd leave for my summer vacation without a computer like last year. Got so many unfinshed projects that the computer, and surfing just makes things slower for me.
Have fun kids

I just made that little webpage for a buddy who wanted a fast and cheap woodgrain for his driver. I made that page real quick one night, It was late. I guess I should not put stuff together that fast, than post it online. We use the Contored printing method of woodgraining in our shop, nothing like whats on that page. More like this...... This is the Car Of The Dome. One of the most well known Packards in the world, If you into Packards that is. If you can get close to it you can have a look at how I woodgrain

The Packard looks real good! Obviously, Jdee, you know what you're doing. I know a lot of guys use the Van Son Inks, but I thought they were water base. The stuff I've been using for the past 30 years is no longer maufactured and I'm searching for what's next as my stash is rapidly diminishing. I think the main advantage in the inks is that they dry real flat to the surface and require almost no sanding. My stains always raise quite a grain and have to take a lot of clear coats and sanding.
The pics on that web page don't show well at all on my screen so it's hard to tell what's going on in the sample lesson. The pics that Shep and I posted before don't look like anything on my screens either.
What is Conto[u]red printing ?
Shep - it says Bush instead of Brush

Jdee has posted photos of his woodgraining work in Letterville long before anyones actual classes became available. His work and methods has always been first class but just so happens, he is only a visitor.
I too am a visitor, obviously from another planet which I will be going back sometime this week for my vacation. C'ya in a month or so, maybe by that time, persons here will learn to live together harmoniously.

Joey, It just so happens that I have been giving "Private Classes" since the late 70's.to a selected few.........just recently have I offered Classes to the general public.. JD does a Great job of graining with the conture print method..and the method I teach has nothing to do with Any Print type of method.......it is meant for the Novice and Professional Restorer alike.... Have a great trip to the "Other World".
