....Talked a little on chat tonight about what ya'll are usin' to keep your brushes in.....I used saphire brush oil for years 'til signplex discontinued it........I'd be interested in hearin' what ya'll use......in the shop I first started out in, my boss kept everything in motor oil...but I noticed a lotta brushes gettin' thinner an' thinner....quills seemed to lose hair by the clumps....he said it was due to detergents in the motor oil an' we switched to saphire, but a lotta people use motor oil with no problem. Also, I'd like to know what gold paint ya'll use to hand letter with.......I do a LOT of mailboxes and the fad here is for gold script, hand- lettered.....OneShot gold works fine for this an' holds up fer at least a coupl'a years or more.....but that paint is so hard to store!!! I think I've tried just about every solvent there is to keep it smooth. Any tricks for that stuff, or gold paint alternatives? THANX!!
